About Camera Funhouse
Camera Funhouse turns your webcam into a playground. Pick from more than 80 live effects - funhouse mirrors, kaleidoscopes, distortions, retro film looks, comic and sketch styles, thermal vision and much more - and see them applied to your camera in real time. Combine up to six effects, reorder them to change the result, and fine-tune each one with its own intensity slider.
When it looks right, snap a photo or record a short looping clip. Photos download as PNG or JPG, loops as WebM video. A self timer (3, 5 or 10 seconds) and aspect ratio presets (16:9, 1:1, 4:5 and 9:16) help you frame the shot for anything from profile pictures to stories. Looking for something else? How it works
- Click Start camera and allow camera access - or try the app without a camera using the built-in demo source.
- Open the effect browser, preview effects live on your own image and build your combination.
- Capture a photo or record a loop, then download the result.
Privacy
Your camera stays private. All effects run directly in your browser using the canvas element - no photo, video or camera frame is ever uploaded to a server, and nothing is stored when you close the page.
Frequently asked questions
Is anything uploaded to a server?
No. The camera stream, all effect processing, photos and recordings stay entirely in your browser. The page works the same way offline once loaded.
How many effects can I combine?
Up to six at the same time. The order matters - effects are applied top to bottom, and you can drag them into a different order at any time.
Which browsers are supported?
All modern browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on desktop and mobile. Camera access requires a secure (https) connection.
What file formats can I download?
Photos as PNG (lossless) or JPG (smaller files). Looping clips are recorded as WebM video.
Can I use it without a camera?
Yes - choose "Try without camera" and an animated demo source lets you play with every effect.
