About the Create tools
These are generators, not editors. There is nothing to upload and no blank canvas to face: each tool already knows how to draw its kind of artwork, and your job is to steer it - pick a style, move the sliders, choose the colors, and hit randomize when you would rather be surprised than decisive. That makes them useful whether or not you think of yourself as a designer.
They also share the things that matter after the fun part. Everything is drawn as vector art, so it stays sharp at any size and exports as SVG as well as PNG. Colors are yours to set, individually or from a curated palette, and backgrounds can be transparent so a shape drops onto whatever is behind it. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is watermarked, and what comes out is yours to use, including commercially.
Which tool should I use?
They overlap less than they look. Start from what the artwork has to do and the choice makes itself:
| What you are after | Reach for | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| A background that repeats forever | Pattern Maker | Seamless tiles that continue in every direction, exported whole or as the single tile |
| One symmetrical centrepiece | Mandala Maker | Radial designs built around a middle point, with symmetry and nested layers |
| A soft shape to sit behind content | Blob Maker | Organic silhouettes filled with gradients, rings, stripes or patterns |
| An edge between two sections | Wave Maker | Layered waves that divide a page or fill a header, and tile side by side |
| Movement across the whole surface | Swirl Maker | Retro swirls, liquid marble and flowing line art from one seeded flow field |
What can I make with them?
Website hero sections and section dividers, blog and social graphics in the right aspect ratio, slide backgrounds, posters and album art, phone and desktop wallpapers, wrapping paper and craft prints, fabric and surface-design mockups, game textures, and placeholder art while a real design is still being decided. The SVG exports open in Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape and Affinity as editable vector art, so anything you generate here can keep being worked on somewhere else. If you are after something to paste straight into a stylesheet instead, several of these tools also export ready-made CSS - as do the CSS tools.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be a designer to use these?
No, and that is rather the point. Every tool opens on something already finished, so you are always adjusting rather than starting. The randomize and variation buttons explore new looks without touching the colors you picked, and the curated palettes give a designed result in one click if choosing colors is the part you would rather skip.
Which format should I export?
SVG if the artwork will be resized, edited or printed - it stays sharp at any size and opens as editable vector art in design software. PNG for anywhere that needs an image file, at whatever resolution you choose and with transparency intact. JPG and WebP where file size matters more than transparency. Several tools also produce a ready-to-paste CSS rule, which is the fastest route if the artwork is going straight onto a web page.
Can I make a background that tiles seamlessly?
Yes. Pattern Maker is built entirely around seamless tiles: every pattern repeats perfectly in all directions, and it exports both the repeated image and the single base tile. Wave Maker's waves also tile side by side, so they work as repeating headers. The other three make single pieces of artwork rather than repeating surfaces.
Can I use my own brand colors?
Yes. Every color in every tool is yours to set, one by one, and the palettes are a starting point rather than a limit. Backgrounds can be made fully transparent, so artwork drops onto a brand color you already have instead of carrying one of its own.
Can I use the artwork in a commercial project?
Yes. Whatever you generate is yours to use in your own work - client projects, products you sell, anything you make - with no attribution required, and nothing to buy. Our License page covers the details and where the artwork comes from.
